An innovative speculative office space was dreamt and realized by the client, an architect and sustainability enthusiast. Composed of cantilevered shipping containers built over an existing industrial foundation, this incubator space for small companies in Providence’s Industrial Valley has captured media attention and interest from around the world. 

As part of the design team, KMDG contributed to the building’s form and especially to details of how the structure met the ground, and elements of the site including re-use of existing concrete pavement for parking, perimeter bioswales to help sustainably manage stormwater runoff, and creation of outdoor spaces for tenants to enjoy the out of doors.
